Okay, so I know I haven't posted in awhile. And yes, I would like to blame it on the excess of greasy iftaar goodies that reek havoc on any sane person's digestive system, but alas, it is my own laziness. Much has gone on in and around the city. Some interesting tidbits...

SunniPath Study Tour

So a few weeks ago I posted a flyer advertising the SunniPath Study Tour, which miracles upon miracles was hosted in that snazzy hood known as Hamilton. Feedback? Well, unfortunately I only made it for the first day, but from what I can tell you, it was pretty great stuff. Shaykh Faraz Rabbani covered excerpts from Imam al-Haddad's Knowledge and Wisdom, which after having heard some, recommend everyone including myself to go buy it and read it. Actually, do that for any of Imam al-Haddad's books. All are found to be extremely accessible and applicable. Okay back on track, Shayk Talal on the other hand covered the much more complex topic of how the mujtahid imams went about traditionally determing fiqh rules. A little more difficult to keep up with, but very thorough and precise. All in all, a great learning experience, and the fact that it was all broadcasted online to those SunniPath fans who couldn't make it, made it even better. It gave everyone a chance to see how SunniPath works online.

Shaam Concert

Shaam is coming to Toronto! Those beloved British nasheed artists are going to be here on November 4th inshAllah at the Meadowvale Theatre in Mississauga. Tickets are $20 each. Growing Up Organic
